On Tuesday, the United States formally accused Iran of providing short-range ballistic missiles to Russia for use in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, alongside British Foreign Secretary David Lammy during a visit to London, announced that sanctions against those involved would be imposed later in the day.
“Russia has now received shipments of these ballistic missiles and will likely use them within weeks in Ukraine, against Ukrainians,” Blinken stated. His remarks came ahead of a scheduled joint visit to Ukraine with Lammy on Wednesday.
