The West’s Concession on Navalny’s Death & the Implications

It’s important to reiterate today that when it comes to propaganda – be it by commission or omission – timing is crucial. Interestingly, the death of Nalvany is a critical example of this fact. You’d recall that, in February this year, headlines flooded the media of an interview done by president Vladimir Putin with an American news presenter in which he exposed much including about how unelected officials of intelligence agencies have undermined presidential authority in the US, how Russian proposals for missile defence systems were rejected, and the concern with neo-Nazism in Ukraine and how the special military operation instituted by Russia responds to this.
This interview had the consequence of further undermining support for Ukraine, bringing in questions of the credibility of US presidential authority over intelligence bodies, and even showing that Putin is a fairly rational and well-informed being, as opposed to a bloodthirsty warmonger that the US has – for the longest time – portrayed him to be. Now, following this interview, you’d also recall that literally a week later news (once again) flooded the media that Russian dissident and political prisoner Alexei Navalny had died. Immediately US president Biden and western media (including Nalany’s wife) said Putin was responsible. This was even followed by a new batch of US sanctions against Russia.
THE WEST CLAIMED NAVALNY’S DEATH WAS ABOUT PUTIN’S FEAR OF DISSENT
Now, that the US media has made the concession that “U.S. intelligence agencies have determined that Putin likely didn’t order Navalny to be killed is not an end in itself, especially seeing that this is a finding that many are recognizing actually deepens the questions pertaining to the circumstances of Navalny’s death. However, beyond the question pertaining Navlany’s death, this – I believe – creates yet another opportunity to have a more frank discussion about those events in February. And so, let’s begin with a recap.
First, when the news broke out not only did the West say Putin was responsible for Navalny’s death, they went as far as to justify their claims by saying that Putin killed Navalny due to fear of dissident. This was US president Biden giving his remarks shortly after the fact.
AVALNY’S DEATH WAS THE WEST’S MEANS TO GET FOR MORE UKRAINE AID
But, finally, the reason this particular news has come to the surface from a popular US publication now – despite many knowing since February what was Navalny’s cause of death, is that NOW they have already gotten what they wanted, which is aid for Ukraine. You’d recall that we discussed here on The War Room the gathering of Foreign Ministers at NATO Headquarters on the 4 April this year to mark 75 years since the signing of the Alliance’s founding document, the North Atlantic Treaty.
Well, the celebration of NATO 75 years of futility and destructive operations was not the only agenda – Ukraine featured quite heavily. In fact, have a listen as former British PM, David Cameron, outlines this fact perfectly.
