French President Emmanuel Macron stated on Thursday that he had a discussion with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which they aligned their views on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, India is facing increasing pressure from the United States due to its continued imports of Russian oil, with American authorities imposing additional tariffs—some reaching up to 50%—on certain Indian goods in response.
