Cyberattack Disrupts Check-In Systems at Heathrow, Brussels, and Berlin Airports

A cyberattack affecting a service provider for airline check-in and boarding systems has led to operational disruptions at several major European airports, including Heathrow (London), Brussels, and Berlin, on Saturday. The incident has resulted in flight delays and cancellations across multiple locations.
The disruption is linked to a technical issue at Collins Aerospace, a company that supplies check-in and boarding technologies to airlines at various global airports. As a result, some systems became non-operational, requiring airports to implement manual procedures.
Brussels Airport reported that the outage has had a significant impact on flight schedules, with both delays and cancellations expected. The service provider is working to resolve the issue.
Passengers scheduled to fly on Saturday were advised to check the status of their flights with their respective airlines before traveling to the airport.
Berlin Airport noted longer waiting times at check-in due to the issue and indicated that efforts are underway to restore normal operations.
Other airports, including Frankfurt and Zurich, confirmed they were not affected by the disruption.
