Christmas Eve Service with Pastor Chris: A Message of Living Waters and Bold Faith

This Christmas Eve, Pastor Chris delivered an inspiring and powerful message, reminding us of the true significance of Christ’s birth and the ongoing mission that each believer carries in the world today. The service was not only filled with powerful insights but also beautiful songs from the Loveworld Singers, whose worship added a special touch to the evening’s reflections.
Pastor Chris began by reflecting on the prophecy from Isaiah 9:6, where the Bible speaks of the child born to us, “and the empire shall be on his shoulders.” This phrase, Pastor Chris explained, is an expression of responsibility. Jesus was born not just as a baby, but as the King entrusted with the governance of the world. From the moment of His birth, He was set apart as the one who would carry the weight of all that was to come, bringing the kingdom of God into the earth.
His name, the Bible says, shall be “Wonderful Counselor,” which means an extraordinary strategist—someone with wisdom far beyond human understanding. As Pastor Chris shared, Jesus’ glory has only increased since that day He was born, and it will continue to increase from generation to generation. The message of Christmas is not just a historical event but an ongoing revelation of God’s greatness.
Pastor Chris also reminded us of the miraculous life of Jesus. In John 20:30, we are told that Jesus performed many other signs that were not written in the Gospel, yet His life was an endless stream of the miraculous and the supernatural. “We must be careful,” Pastor Chris warned, “about the institutionalization of the ministry of Christ.” When we lose sight of who Jesus really is and what He came to do, we risk turning Christianity into just another dead religion. The miracles, the signs, and the supernatural power that defined Jesus’ ministry should never be confined to a building or an event—they must live in the hearts and lives of every believer.
John 21:25 also tells us that there were so many other things Jesus did that even the world could not contain the books that would be written about them. This, Pastor Chris emphasized, shows the uncontainable nature of Jesus’ power and His life. It’s not just about what He did in the past, but what He continues to do through us today.
CHRIST IN US: THE FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATERS
Pastor Chris spoke passionately about the vital role every believer plays in spreading the life of Christ. In John 17:37, Jesus speaks of a fountain of living waters that will flow from within all who believe in Him. This is not just a metaphor; it’s a reality. Pastor Chris reminded us that every Christian who has received the Holy Spirit has that fountain within them.
This fountain of living water represents the flow of Christ’s love, goodness, and miraculous power, moving through us and out into the world. “I am a living and moving fountain of living waters,” Pastor Chris declared. “It’s spreading from everywhere.” As believers, we are called to carry this living water with us wherever we go, taking the life of Christ to every corner of the earth.
The message of Christmas is not just about celebrating Christ’s birth but also about waking up to the responsibility that each believer carries. Pastor Chris reminded us that Jesus is no longer physically on earth as a miracle worker; He is seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven. But He has entrusted us with the responsibility to continue His work, to perform miracles, and to spread His life and love to the world.
“We can’t afford to wait for gatherings or institutionalized Christianity,” Pastor Chris emphasized. “We are fountains of living water, and we should not wait for a minister to call a conference. The needs are urgent.” The power of Jesus Christ and the miracles He performed are not limited to church buildings or events—they should be alive in the everyday lives of every believer.
Finally, Pastor Chris called on everyone to be bold in their faith. Jesus Christ, the hope of glory, lives within us, and He will not fail us. We must take ownership of the responsibility to share His love and work miracles in His name. The world is waiting for us to rise up and make a difference.
This Christmas, Pastor Chris reminded us that the birth of Jesus is not just a celebration of a historical event—it is the beginning of the miraculous life we are meant to live through Christ. As we reflect on the message of Christmas, let’s remember that we are not just waiting for Jesus to work; He is in us, and through Him, we are called to work His wonders and spread His love to the world.
