China has expressed concern over U.S. actions regarding Hong Kong, with a foreign ministry spokesperson accusing the United States of manipulating Hong Kong issues and stifling its development.
This statement follows the U.S. House of Representatives’ approval of a bill that could result in the closure of Hong Kong’s economic and trade offices in the U.S. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning criticized the bill for politicizing economic and trade relations and for deliberately undermining Hong Kong’s overseas agencies.
