BRICS Build Up: Effects on Chinese Manufacturers

The BRICS block of nations has undoubtedly grown in influence and importance around the globe, attracting the majority of OPEC countries, and has expanded to become the BRICS and friends. In August 2023 at the 15th BRICS Summit, hosted by South Africa, new trade agreements were brought to fruition that were mutually beneficial between all member states.

One such trade deal was between South Africa and China, which sought to narrow the trade deficit by increasing access to Chinese markets for South African products and vice versa.
