Pastor Chris Declares September 2024 Month of Conquerors at the Global Communion Service

Entering the Glorious Month of Conquerors: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Powerful Declaration
Congratulations on entering the glorious Month of Conquerors, as declared by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSC DSC DD during the Global Communion Service last night.
Reading from 1 John 5:4, which states, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith,” Pastor Chris taught that our faith overcomes the world. The “world” in this context refers to the cosmos, meaning the world with its systems, arrangements, order, and governments. Our faith overcomes all that is in the world, including its systems, powers, order, and governments.
The man of God then explained why the scriptures tell us this, referring to 1 John 5:1, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and everyone that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.” He emphasized that if you believe that Jesus is the Christ, you are born of God. He further explained that the statement in verse 4, “whatsoever is born of God,” refers not only to persons but also to products—anything that comes from God, including His words, overcomes the world. Our faith overcomes the cosmos.
Answering the question, “Who is he that overcometh the world?” Pastor Chris took the global congregation to verse 5, which says, “Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” The one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God is the world overcomer. As believers, we have overcome the world; we are world overcomers. As Christians, we will never be overcome because we are born of God. Despite attempts to eliminate Christianity over the past 2,000 years, we are still here.
Reading from verses 10 to 15 of the same chapter, Pastor Chris expounded on the scriptures, reiterating our identity and possession in Christ. He declared that anyone who believes in the Son of God has the witness within themselves. We believe that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. This belief gives us confidence, as outlined in verses 14 and 15: “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” This confidence in having our petitions granted compels us to pray, as instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1, to pray for all men and those in authority. He gives us the power and authority to pray in His name and receive answers. This is crucial because He knows what the world is like. Romans 8:35-37 highlights some of the challenges we face in the world:
“35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
The beauty of this is that in all these things, we are more than conquerors (hupernikao)—we go beyond; we have crossed; we are beyond victorious.
The teaching on the Word of the Month continued with Pastor Chris reading from Psalm 82:6, which says, “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” He explained that here, God is talking about His own people. He tells them that the world is going in the wrong direction, with its foundations out of course. He cautions those who are supposed to provide answers, warning them that if they don’t act, they will die like men and fall like one of the princes.
The Lord is telling us that we have to stand up and answer to our name. The Psalmist in Psalm 74:20 prays to God, saying, “Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.” This is the mentality we need to carry when we pray. Have you seen the cruelty in your country and city? There is cruelty in the dark places of the earth, where the light is dim, and the voice of God is barely heard. Pastor Chris charged the global congregation to pray like the Psalmist in Psalm 74:21, saying, “Let not the oppressed be ashamed.” There are people being oppressed in our world. To emphasize this, the man of God referred to the story of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov, who is being oppressed by the French government. Despite his wealth, he is still facing oppression. Pastor Chris explained that the weaponization of the justice system against anyone is a form of oppression. When you pray, say, “O God, let not the oppressed return ashamed,” because they hope in God, even if they don’t know Him. We are the ones who can pray for them. Even the poor and needy should not return ashamed because they are poor and needy.
Today, entire nations are being oppressed, dictated to by those more powerful than their governments. They are told, “You better do this or else.” We can’t be quiet. We have to pray like this: “Lord, remember, have respect unto the covenant, for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. Lord, let not the oppressed return ashamed. Those who hope in God, may they not return to You ashamed.” There are people today incarcerated for offenses they never committed, in prisons around the world. In 2021, over 2,000 prisoners were set free in one country after their cases were reviewed, and it was found they were not guilty of the crimes they had been incarcerated for. Think about how many others are suffering for crimes they never committed. So, we have to pray for those in prison, pray for those being oppressed. Don’t neglect them; God will remember you.
Pastor Chris finally declared the month of September as the Month of Conquerors, saying, “God is asking, ‘Where are my conquerors? Where are my victors? I have said you are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.’ God is saying, ‘Where are you?’ Stand up, make your voice heard, let your voice be heard in heaven and on earth. You are going to speak for God this month of September. Speak for God, speak for freedom, and speak for liberty. Don’t be quiet; He has given you the victory. Whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. The antichrist spirits that are roaming around the world today can never subdue us. He said, ‘You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.’ We are more than conquerors. This month, we are standing up and declaring the victory of Christ over all satanic forces. We are subduing them; this month, we must tame them in the spirit. I told you that when they came up with Mpox, it was dead on arrival. God said it, that ‘they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.’ They are being lightly esteemed around the world. Their words mean nothing; the lying tongue is for a season, the Bible says. All the way until the rapture of the church, the deception to use vaccines to pollute the world and kill people—that’s not going to work again; it’s over. They need some other tricks, but all the tricks are in the same bag, and the power of the Holy Ghost is at work in the churches of Christ in the world. The church of Jesus Christ around the world is the church of victory. It will not succumb; it will not go under. Remember, it is from glory to glory, faith to faith, grace to grace.”
We are indeed excited for this Month of Conquerors as we take our place as conquerors, speaking for God, freedom, and liberty.
