France’s New Leadership Team Set to Tackle 2026 Budget Challenges

France has announced a new government amid political instability. President Emmanuel Macron’s office revealed on Sunday that Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu will head the new cabinet. His most urgent and challenging responsibility will be to secure approval for the 2026 budget in a deeply divided and contentious parliament.
