Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan announced on Sunday that he plans to address Israel’s “massacres” in Gaza at the upcoming U.N. General Assembly and expressed optimism that increased international recognition of Palestine could accelerate progress toward a two-state solution.
Before leaving for New York, Erdogan mentioned he would discuss trade and defence industry cooperation with U.S. President Donald Trump and also hold talks with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa during his visit.
